Interlocking Nail that is used to fix the fractures of long bones is an intramedullary nail secured by transverse screws through the proximal and distal fragments. Interlocking Nails are actually a refinement of the original Kuntscher Nail.
Multifix/XL Nails, manufactured and supplied by Narang Medical Limited, are designed to fit in Intramedullary Canal. Used in fixation of Proximal, Shaft and Distal fractures of Femur and Tibia, this system is the constitution of Multifix / XL Tibial Cannulated and Unreamed Nails & Multifix/XL Femoral Cannualted and Unreamed Nails.
Universal Nails are used in Femoral and Tibial fractures the same nail can be used for both right and left legs. Proximal Femoral Nails are intramedullary implants and used to treat unstable Pertrochanteric and Intertrochanteric Femoral fractures. The series include GAMM Nails, PFN and RECON Nails.
